Website visitors

The website system that we use collects the information that your browser hands out automatically. We do not use any facility that allows us to track individuals on our public website, we only collects statistics that allow us to see how our service is working, what part is of interest to visitors and if there are issues we need to address. The aggregated and anonymous statistics are only for internal use, nor does the software we use pass on any information to third parties – we deliberately chose stand-alone facilities.

We also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for visitors. We only disclose logged in user IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to identify threats and malicious content and flag especially incoming content as such. This non-personal information may be retained for a longer period to allow us to identify and counteract Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) or other strategies to breach service security.

We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and originator of incoming email as well as destination for outgoing information.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to our websites and services choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather and retain personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who send us a message or query to provide a name and email address so that we may reply properly.

We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that this may prevent us from replying.
